People of color have long played important roles in the medical and healthcare industry. However, they’re still part of the minority. Fortunately, many organizations have been established to provide support, disseminate information, facilitate mentorships, and recognize our healthcare professionals’ work and contributions.
Here at Tribal Wave, we believe it’s crucial to promote camaraderie among the diaspora. Other than providing our medical front liners with high-quality accessories including African scrub caps, we also aim to build a tribe – a community. In line with that, we want to start by sharing with you a list of medical associations and alliances that are specifically for black physicians, nurses, medical students, and other professionals in the U.S. health industry.
Below is a list of associations you can follow on social media and related channels.
